Our President, Tom Frank
At the T. Frank Mint, the "needs of the performer" are always one of our primary
concerns.
For over 25 years, T. Frank Mint president Tom Frank has been a performing magician,
and his Cups and Balls routines have played an integral part in his success.
Whether as a street performer, comedy-club act or a stage magician, he has gathered
vast experience concerning the value of performing the Cups and Balls as part
of a magic routine.
While studying under Cellini, Tom learned that by banging on the cups you excite
an innate, primal force within people. The percussive sound might be compared
tot he beating of a drum, or the beating of your heart, and naturally draws an
"audience" to it. It is a proven fact that once you start banging on the cups,
people will cross a street or a crowded square to see what all the "commotion"
is about.
In order to make that commotion, and not have your cups fold like an accordion
and the wand splinter into hundreds of pieces, Mr. Frank stressed the importance
(to our production team) of having a set of cups that can take a licking, and
the need for a wand that can dish it out.
At the T. Frank Mint, we recognize that many of our customers intend to use the
Phoenix Cups and Balls solely as a display/collectable piece. We are pleased
